We at Cozy Camp pride ourselves in Bear Hunt success! Our area in Northwestern Ontario offers exceptional opportunities for Black Bear Hunting. We offer pre-baited, guaranteed active stands within 20 minutes of camp. Opportunities to take color fazes with bow or rifle are excellent!

Here is how it works.

We start pre-baiting one month before the season opens to get as many bears hitting the baits as possible & to make them as comfortable as possible coming into the baits. When you arrive on Saturday, we will take you out & show you several baits and help you pick out two baits, a primary & a secondary. We will also show you many techniques for success! We sit in the middle of our bear management area that is about 150 square miles of Canadian wildness.

The furthest bait is about 15 to 20 minutes away so drive time to your bait doesn't cut into your hunting time. We suggest you bring two portable stands. We have a few permanent stands however they may not be where we want them due to wind direction or other factors.

Once you have shot your bear, we will help you track it. After taking pictures of the brute we transport it back to camp where we prepare the hide for the freezer. So as you can see we are there 100% of the way to assure your success. This is a very affordable big game hunt!

If you need references we have plenty! Our success rate for 2003 - 14 for 15 kill with 100% opportunity. For 2004 - 12 for 15 kill & 90% opportunity. For 2005 14 for 15 kill & 100% opportunity. We only take a maximum of 15 hunters for the whole season to protect our resources & assure you get the personalized service you deserve!
